Our 30 Day Customer Guarantee

We recommend that you first carefully examine and assess your HorseAthlete product before deciding to return it.

Are you unsure about the fit, size, or use? Feel free to send us an email first. In many cases, our customer service can help with personal advice so that you can use the product correctly and unnecessary returns are avoided.

For hygienic reasons, we ask that you do not actually use the product on or near the horse as long as you have doubts about a return. In the equine sector, products may contain traces of dirt, hair, skin oil, sweat, or microorganisms after use. Infectious diseases such as rhinopneumonia/EHV can also pose a risk under certain circumstances via contaminated material or surfaces.

Therefore, products that have been in contact with a horse, stable environment, hair, sweat, dirt, or other animal material unfortunately cannot be resold as new and safe. Consequently, these products may no longer be eligible for return.

The program return policy can be found here.

Maintenance instructions for ThinLine Pads

Perfect Fit Pads do not need to be washed. If you choose to wash them, we recommend baby wipes. You can rinse them with a garden hose or wash them in the washing machine (in a front loader, cold water, not in the dryer). White pads can be bleached. Keep ThinLine base pads away from chemicals such as Show Sheen, oils or leather conditioner.

Maintenance instructions for the ThinLine Grazing Mask

ThinLine Grazing Masks are easy to clean. Firstly, you can put the horse muzzle in a mesh bag and wash it in cold water with detergent and a teaspoon of bleach. Second, for a more thorough cleaning, submerge it in a bucket of dish soap and a capful of bleach.

Care instructions for Sheepskin Pads and Products

Our sheepskin pads are made with 100% medical grade merino wool. Follow care instructions carefully to support durability and ensure your product is under warranty.

Regular maintenance:

Dry between rides. Place the sheep's wool side up in a cool environment, in humid climates you can use a fan to blow over the pillow. Once the pad is dry, brush it lightly with a pet brush to keep the wool fluffy and bouncy for the next ride.

To wash:

Sheepskin saddle pads are best washed by hand in cold water EucalanYou can also machine wash them (although hand washing is preferred) in a front loader, without agitators against the cushion, on a gentle cycle, cold. Remove excess water from the cushion by squeezing it out or place it in your washing machine on the spin cycle. Please do not use Melp!

Fill the washing machine (or bathtub for very large items) with water and then add Eucalan to. Let it soak for an hour, squeezing the item occasionally to distribute soap and water throughout the item. If the item is very dirty, you may need to repeat the process. Squeeze or use the spin cycle to remove excess water and place on a rack or rail to dry, out of the sun and away from direct heat and dryers.

Drugs:

Full sheep's wool pillows can take 2-3 days to dry. Items with sheep's wool trim should be completed in one day. The ThinLine shim can delay drying time

Below you will find the basic steps to extend the lifespan of metal rings, buckles, and other hardware. These parts are strong and durable, but over time, due to moisture, sweat, dirt, salt, and heavy use, they can oxidize, become dull, or discolor. Please read these instructions carefully, and if you have any further questions, please let us know via our contact page.

Care instructions for metal rings, buckles, and hardware

Regularly clean metal rings, buckles, clips, fasteners, and other metal parts with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth. After use, remove dirt, dust, mud, sweat, and residue from care products. Always dry the parts thoroughly before storing the product.

Preventing oxidation:

Oxidation can occur when metal comes into contact with oxygen, moisture, sweat, salt, or certain cleaning and care products. This can manifest as dull spots, discoloration, light tarnish, or small brown dots around rings, buckles, or seams. Therefore, store products with metal parts in a dry, well-ventilated place and avoid prolonged exposure to rain, damp stables, sweat, manure, salt, and harsh chemicals.

Cleaning:

For normal maintenance, use a soft cloth and, if necessary, lukewarm water with mild soap. Pay particular attention to cleaning the areas around moving parts, seams, and attachment points, as dirt and moisture accumulate there more quickly. Rinse off any soap residue carefully and dry the metal parts completely after cleaning.

Remove surface deposits or oxidation:

Light tarnish or superficial oxidation on rings and buckles can be carefully removed with fine glass wool, very fine steel wool, or a soft scouring pad. Rub gently and always test on a small, less visible area first. Do not use coarse abrasives, hard brushes, or aggressive products, as these can cause scratches or damage the protective layer of the metal.

Drying and storage:

Never leave rings, buckles, and other metal parts wet. Always dry them completely with a soft cloth after cleaning, washing, or use in wet conditions. Store the product in a dry place, away from direct moisture and chemicals, sprays, oils, leather conditioners, and fertilizers.

Important:

Regularly check rings, buckles, clips, and fasteners for wear, sharp edges, deep rust, cracks, deformation, or loose fastenings. Do not use the product if a metal part is damaged or could compromise safety. If in doubt, please contact us via our contact page.

Since it is the most horse-friendly and flexible grazing aid that prevents tooth damage and skin friction, please ensure that your horse the slightest chance has to get stuck somewhere in the field. This is actually a MUST for all types of grazing masks for the safety of your horse!

Our grazing masks do not break through regular eating or use of water bowls. Due to the more intense environment and wear and tear it can withstand, our grazing mask is definitely the best flexible grazing mask for your horse to prevent any injury, wear and tear on the teeth, etc. compared to others.

Note:

  • The original ThinLine ZipTies must always be used.
  • There has to 'a' Break-Away barbell be used, regardless of brand, to claim the warranty of the grazing mask.
We recommend our ThinLine Break Away Halter especially for the specially designed holders on the noseband that ensure that your grazing mask is secured in the correct position. This means that the grazing mask will not shift and will remain free from the horse's lips and nostrils.
