How does it work?
Traditionally we work with our horses until they relax. Now we can relax our horses before we start working.
When horses are relaxed, we may see gentle chewing, licking, or saliva that looks like foam. We discovered that activating the jaw generates relaxation throughout the horse's body and brain.
The Busy Buddy stimulates the relaxation process in all horses. We believe this is the most profound equine health and wellness product introduced to the equine world.

Can you adjust the length of the Busy Buddy yourself?
Yes, that's possible! If you need to shorten the length, simply remove the hook with pliers, cut the rope to the perfect length and reinstall the clip. For minor size adjustments, we recommend adjusting the halter slightly higher or lower.
How do I fit the ThinLine Busy Buddy?
The Busy Buddy should fit loosely in the horse's mouth, it should not pull on the corners of the mouth.
Find the position where they start chewing.
The Busy Buddy should sit just below the crease of the mouth. Not too tight, otherwise it will be associated with a bit and is not a relaxation tool. You want it to sit just low enough on the tongue that they feel the urge to chew. I would say a finger's width or just below the crease is good. There should be no wrinkles visible.

It prevents biting, but it doesn't stop biting. For me, the horse stands still much more, makes more effort to think and chews off its stress much more. However, it is a tool and not a solution. However, I am very satisfied with the product, both when driving and when doing ground work/standing still!

Gave this a try for a young horse, to keep her occupied for farrier, physio etc. Simple idea, works well and item is good quality but a bit expensive.

I'm very pleased with the Busy Buddy I purchased for my TB valid.
He is normally a little “nippy” in the cross ties during grooming. With the Busy Buddy, that behavior is greatly decreased. He also stands more readily when I spray him instead of dancing around or backing up.
I have been so happy with the results that I bought one for my trainer!
