ThinLine Replacement Breakaway Halter Part
Spare chapter for the Flexible Breakaway Halter. It is safe and can be replaced!
Why should you use a Breakaway Halter?
A Breakaway Halter can be perfectly combined with the ThinLine Flexible Grazing Mask. This makes the combination super safe to use 24/7. If your horse gets stuck, the Breakaway part or tie-wraps of the grazing mask will break and free your horse. No more worries about your horse getting injured by getting stuck somewhere on the field.
The ThinLine Flexible Breakaway Halter is designed for use with the Flexible Grazing Mask.
Designed for comfort, the ThinLine Flexible Breakaway Halter has features that make using and installing the Flexible Grazing Mask easy. Our horse halter has strategically placed “holders” to which you can attach your grazing mask. These holders ensure that the grazing mask is secured in the correct position. This ensures that the grazing mask does not shift and still remains clear of the horse's lips and nostrils.
You can also see how the specially designed halter places your grazing mask in exactly the right place for the greatest comfort for your horse and ease of use for you.
The ThinLine halter is designed for a very comfortable and secure fit. Lined with the famous ThinLine foam, this halter will reduce the chance of chafing! And the halter helps to eliminate skin fungi and protect sensitive faces.
Black nylon with white stitching.
Available in five sizes; medium mini, pony, cob, horse and oversize. The halter deliberately does not have an adjustable noseband. You might think that the noseband is a bit loose when you receive it, but feel free to go ahead and attach your grazing mask. We designed this for the best comfort without chafing!

How do you attach your ThinLine Grazing Mask to the halter?
- Use the supplied paper tie-wraps or string to find the best holes for attaching your grazing mask to your halter. The paper tie-wraps are a temporary tool that allows you to easily adjust the fit.
- Two of the “fins” have a triangular cutout. You attach these to the square (side) rings of your pasture halter. Attach three fins to the noseband, one in the middle, the other two fall naturally on the sides of the middle. Attach three fins to the chin strap; one in the center, two naturally on the sides of the center.
- First secure each fin with a triangular cutout using one of the included low profile cable ties. Do not wrap the fins around the halter as this can cause chafing.
- When properly installed, the grazing mask should rest close to, but not against, the horse's nose. If the grazing mask touches the nose, lengthen the fins under the chin, this will lift the grazing mask off the nose.
- Once you are satisfied that you have the correct holes aligned with the halter, remove the paper ties or string and permanently secure the mask with the zip ties provided.
- After you have found the best fit for your horse, cut the excess fin material just above the top hole being used. It's okay to wait a day or two to make sure your grazing mask is a comfortable distance from your horse's mouth before clipping. The cable tie “holder” is on the outside of the grazing mask and the excess points downward and is cut off nearby.
If you have fitted the grazing mask properly and the grazing mask is the right size, it will work great. If you find there is too much grazing space, make sure your fins are securely attached to your halter. The fins should not move along the noseband. If so, tighten the cable tie.
The Thinline Grazing Mask can help prevent laminitis.

Great idea to be able to replace these and worked regarding safety aspect as my horse broke the original which would likely have been by him getting caught on something as he doesn't tend to break things

I love the thinline grazing muzzle. And it's great that you can get replacement pieces without having to buy a whole new headcollar (like some rival makes!)
