Does your saddle need to be adjusted?
Designed with pockets for shims to achieve an ideal saddle shape. You can use shims for:
- Handy for riding with multiple horses,
- Horses in training,
- Aging horse with a swayback.
Or you can add the full shim to “upgrade” your pad. This is perfect for horses with sensitive backs, when treating Kissing Spine, high withers, etc. Learn so much more about the Saddle Fitting Solutions.
How to care for your ThinLine Trifecta Halfpad with Sheepskin Rolls?
Regular maintenance: Dry between rides. Place the pad with the sheepskin side up in a cool area, in humid climates use a fan to blow over the pad. Once dry, brush lightly with a pet brush to keep the wool fluffy and bouncy for the next ride.
Washing and drying: Sheepskin saddle pads are best washed by hand in cold water. Use a soap specifically for sheepskin to keep your pad under warranty. You can machine wash (although hand wash is preferred), no agitators against the ThinLine panels, gentle cycle, cold. Remove excess water in the pad by squeezing the water out or by placing it in your washing machine on the spin setting.
Fill the washing machine (or bathtub for really large items) with water, then add a sheepskin soap. Soak for 1 hour, occasionally squeezing soap and water through the item. If the item is really dirty, you may need to repeat the process. Squeeze or use the spin setting to remove excess water and place over a rack or rail to dry with the sheepskin side up. Keep out of the sun, and away from direct heat and dryers. Do not brush or pull the sheepskin fibers when they are wet. To avoid shrinkage, gently stretch the skin while drying.
On white pads you can use Scotch Guard on the rollers to keep them clean and extend wash cycles.
