How do you take care of yourself? Western Premium Pro-Tech Felt Saddle Pad?
Our saddle pads have a high percentage of wool. To avoid shrinkage, do not use hot water to clean or heat to dry.
Brush your saddle pad occasionally with a horse brush. This will loosen hair, dirt and sweat to extend the usefulness of your pad.
Care stones also work well for cleaning the underside of your saddle pad.
Wool pads can be washed by scrubbing the dirty areas with a cloth or sponge, using cold water and a small amount of mild liquid wool detergent. Rinse off all soap with clean water and allow the pad to air dry in a well-ventilated area. When you rinse the pad, make sure to direct the jet from the center outwards so that dirt, sweat and hair are washed off the pad instead of being pressed into the pad.

Excellent product. Horse moves freely, no sore back issues and it isn't at all bulky so communication with my horse is easily maintained.

I have a young horse that started welting on his spine after rides…the same saddle/pad combo had never been an issue before so I wasn't sure what was happening. I tried different saddles and pad combos after that and each caused an issue. A friend let me borrow her ThinLine pad for one ride and I was sold. No welts, no hair rubs, no soreness, perfectly dry spine and the sweat marks were even. I have since purchased the felt pad and girth and am very impressed with the quality and effects on my youngster.

I was unsure about buying a saddle pad from overseas, specially as I couldn't view the product, I didn't really see how the claims about shock absorption were possible.. also with the exchange rate it became an expensive blanket — however it is AWESOME, totally worth it, it really does absorb shock, I could feel the difference in my horses movement and in my spine right away. I thought I had imagined it so I got two of my friends ride their horses in their normal saddle pads then put my Thinline pad on, both of them were “blown away” with how the saddle moved less, their horses also moved better and they could feel less jarring in their spines. So excited, highly recommend, just this week I have just this week managed to order a second one for my partner .. can't say enough good things about them.
