The Honeycomb Structure – ThinLine is indeed a unique material!
Historically, equine products work on a compression basis, meaning they compress and then bounce back, or like gel, move away from pressure.
What makes ThinLine unique is its technology. ThinLine is an open-cell foam that moves shock, weight and heat laterally along the saddle pad, boot or girth.
It starts as a liquid, where microscopic cells are poured into a mold and then polarized so that each cell lies end to end, creating a tunnel. Another layer is poured into the mold and polarized in a new direction.
In each ThinLine saddle pad, this process is repeated hundreds of times, creating a honeycomb matrix. This structure allows ThinLine to transfer shock, heat and weight laterally, similar to the ripple effect of throwing a stone into water.
ThinLine products also have tensile strength, so that pressure is actually distributed. Behind every pressure point there is always a hollow space. ThinLine products work to relieve pressure points by adding to the hollow points.
The end result is that the impact moves THROUGH the ThinLine saddle pad, providing a completely different ride that your horse will love. Riders will also appreciate how the open-cell technology transfers the recoil from the horse's back sideways rather than directly up into the base of the horse. rider's spine. The non-slip, breathable shims, also made of this exclusive protection foam, can ensure a perfect saddle fit. The integrity and softness allow ThinLine to flex and stretch over high withers, bones, girths or pressure points of the saddle without sinking (like memory foam) or moving (like gel). Body temperature warms the ThinLine material, causing it to conform to the horse to support tendons and muscles and relieve pressure and impact. When returned to room temperature, 24°C, it returns to its original shape. The lifespan of this product is typically 7-9 years.

Hi Cherry,
In that case we would certainly go for the ThinLine+ version in pads, like you can find here:
https://www.thinlineglobal.eu/shop/english-saddle-pads/basic-pads/thinline-contoured-basic-half-pad
We also have a seat saver in the ThinLine material. This is really great for riders who experience pain in the back when riding so this could also be an amazing option for you.

Hope that helps!
If you have any questions let me know!
Best,
