Ons ThinLine Flexibel Breakaway Halster heeft functies die het gebruik en de installatie van het Flexibele Graasmasker eenvoudig maken. Hoe bevestig je je ThinLine Graasmasker aan het halster?
- Gebruik de bijgeleverde papieren tie-wraps of een touwtje om de beste gaten te vinden voor het bevestigen van je graasmasker aan je halster. De papieren tie-wraps zijn een tijdelijk hulpmiddel waarmee je de pasvorm gemakkelijk kunt aanpassen.
- Twee van de “vinnen” hebben een driehoekige uitsnede. Deze bevestig je aan de vierkante (zij)ringen van je weidehalster. Drie vinnen bevestig je aan de neusriem, één in het midden, de andere twee vallen vanzelf aan de zijkanten van het midden. Drie vinnen bevestig je aan de kinband; één in het midden, twee vanzelf aan de zijkanten van het midden.
- Bevestig eerst elke vin met een driehoekige uitsnede met een van de bijgeleverde laagprofiel kabelbinders. Wikkel de vinnen niet rond het halster, dit kan schuurplekken veroorzaken.
- Wanneer het graasmasker correct is geïnstalleerd, moet deze dichtbij maar niet tegen de neus van het paard aan liggen. Als het graasmasker de neus raakt, maak dan de vinnen onder de kin langer, dit zal het graasmasker van de neus tillen.
- Zodra je tevreden bent dat je de juiste gaten hebt uitgelijnd met het halster, verwijder dan de papieren tie-wraps of touwtje en bevestig het masker permanent met de bijgeleverde zip-ties.
- Nadat je de beste pasvorm voor je paard hebt gevonden, knip je het overtollige vinmateriaal net boven het bovenste gat dat wordt gebruikt. Het is prima om een dag of twee te wachten om ervoor te zorgen dat je graasmasker op een comfortabele afstand van de mond van je paard is voordat je gaat knippen. De “houder” van de kabelbinder bevindt zich aan de buitenkant van het graasmasker en het overtollige deel wijst naar beneden en wordt dichtbij afgeknipt.
Als je het graasmasker goed hebt aangepast en het graasmasker is de juiste maat, zal het uitstekend werken. Als je merkt dat er te veel graasruimte is, zorg er dan voor dat je vinnen stevig aan je halster zijn bevestigd. De vinnen mogen niet langs de neusriem bewegen. Als dat wel het geval is, trek dan de kabelbinder strakker.
Het Thinline Graasmaskerf kan helpen voorkomen van hoefbevangenheid.

This headcollar is ideal with the flexible filly muzzle. I don’t have to worry about the cable ties rubbing. It’s nice and lightweight, and I’m pleased to have the leather strap for safety. It’s not the softest headcollar but it hasn’t rubbed my horse even though he is really sensitive and rubbing is often a real problem.

Really nice halter for use with the grazing muzzle. I had to put some additional holes in the leather strip as they were too far apart – it was either too low or too high. Easily done though and I would still recommend.

I bought the halter as I knew it would be the easiest way to secure the actual muzzle correctly. My chunky cob is between sizes, and although the cob size fits I will now purchase the separate horse size leather headpiece so that I can attach the padded anti-rub halter wrap.

Goes perfect of course with the grazing muzzle. Our horse has taken it all off a couple times in one piece so far. Lies down to sleep/roll and then probably rubs head on grass and pops the halter off. Works well to make a couple extra holes on the poll-piece if the fit isn’t exactly right. We did that as our horse was just on the tiny bit bigger side of a ‘horse’ size. Did notice that after about a week’s usage we could start using the lowest original holes – so the halter does relax a little with use.
